How to get your export
- 1.In the Instagram app, open Settings → Accounts Center → Your information and permissions.
- 2.Choose Export your information → create export → download to device.
- 3.Select Messages and pick the JSON format (not HTML), then request the download.
- 4.When the email arrives, download the ZIP and upload it here — parsing happens in your browser.
No. It only reads the ZIP from Instagram's official 'Export your information'. There is no login and nothing is uploaded to Missing Features.

The archive lists attachments by filename from the export. The media files themselves stay in the ZIP Instagram gave you — they are not embedded in the generated HTML.
