Terms of Service

Missing Features ("the Service") is a portfolio of independent, single-purpose browser tools that convert or organize data you export from other applications (for example a Google Takeout archive, a WhatsApp chat export, or an app-specific data download).

For file-based tools, all parsing and conversion runs entirely in your browser. Your uploaded files and their contents are never transmitted to our servers. A small number of tools that genuinely require a server boundary (for example account-based email exports) are documented as such and may be paused while alternatives are evaluated.

Each tool is an independent utility and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with the companies whose export formats it reads. Product and company names, logos, and trademarks referenced on this site are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only; their use does not imply any association or endorsement.

Tools are offered free or as a one-time purchase per use. There are no subscriptions. Prices vary per tool and are shown before purchase. Where a tool is priced, payment is processed securely by Stripe; we do not receive or store your card details.

One-time purchases unlock the full export for that use and are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Because processing happens in your browser, you can preview what a tool found (for example a count of items) before any payment.

For file-based tools we do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to the contents of the files you process. See our Privacy Policy for details on the limited data we do handle (such as payment processing via Stripe and anonymous, count-only usage metrics).

Each tool reads an export format as documented at the time of writing. The originating apps may change or discontinue their export formats at any time without notice, which may affect a tool's ability to parse your file. Tools marked as beta are provided for format and reliability validation and may have documented limitations.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. You are responsible for reviewing generated output before relying on it, and for keeping your original export files.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Missing Features and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to a tool shall not exceed the amount you paid for that tool (or, for free tools, zero).

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
