How to export your LinkedIn connections to CSV

LinkedIn lets you download a list of all your first-degree connections, including their names, email addresses, companies, positions, and connection dates. Here is how. Step-by-step export: 1. Go to linkedin.com and sign in. 2. Click your profile picture in the top right → "Settings & Privacy". 3. In the left panel, click "Data privacy". 4. Click "Get a copy of your data". 5. Select "Want something in particular?" and choose "Connections" from the list. 6. Click "Request archive". LinkedIn will prepare your file and email you when it is ready. (This usually takes a few minutes, but can take up to 24 hours for large networks.) 7. You will receive an email from LinkedIn with a download link. 8. Click the link (or go back to Settings → Data privacy → Get a copy of your data → Download archive). 9. Download the ZIP file and unzip it. 10. Find the file called "Connections.csv" — it contains all your connection data. 11. Upload Connections.csv to the LinkedIn Connections → CSV tool to clean and reformat it. What is included in the export: - First name, last name - Email address (only if your connection has chosen to share it with connections) - Company and position at the time of export - Date you connected What is NOT included: - Profile photos - Contact info hidden by the connection's privacy settings - Your connection's full message history Note: LinkedIn's export file includes several lines of text at the top before the actual CSV headers. The LinkedIn Connections → CSV tool automatically skips these preamble lines.
