Gmail does not have a built-in way to download all emails from a specific sender as files. Here is the fastest path using the Gmail Sender & Query Exporter.
1. Open the Gmail Sender & Query Exporter tool and connect your Gmail account.
2. Select "From sender" and type the email address (e.g., newsletter@company.com) or domain (e.g., @amazon.com).
3. The tool will search your inbox and show you a count of matching emails. Emails in Trash and Spam are excluded by default.
4. Continue to the export preview. Published tools are free during launch.
5. Choose your format:
- EML files (ZIP) — individual email files; importable into Apple Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird
- HTML — all emails in one readable HTML document; print to PDF from your browser
- CSV — a spreadsheet of metadata (sender, date, subject, size) useful for counting or indexing
6. Click Export. Your browser will download the file automatically.
Common use cases:
- Save all emails from a company before cancelling a subscription
- Archive correspondence with a landlord, contractor, or client
- Download receipts and invoices from a specific vendor
- Preserve order confirmations from an online store
For very large senders (thousands of emails), narrow your search with a date range using Gmail's after: and before: operators, for example: from:receipts@paypal.com after:2023/01/01
